Definitions
Special Surprises Limited – the company supplying the goods. The Company Director is Susan Dalziel.
Recipient – The person to whom the item is to be delivered.
Goods – The items ordered by the customer.

The Agreement
The customer enters into an agreement with Special Surprises when the ‘Confirm Order’ option has been chosen. Where contact details are available a confirmation e-mail will be sent. By placing an order the customer agrees to the terms and conditions listed on this website. Special Surprises, by accepting the purchase agrees to sell the product and deliver as per the terms and conditions listed.

Delivery – UK Mainland Delivery
We believe in keeping delivery charges as low as we can so where possible our costs of postage and packaging are calculated on the size and weight of the gifts you buy. However to allow us to track your gifts to ensure their safe arrival we can only issue via a ‘signed for’ delivery method.
All deliveries will require a signature, if the recipient is not in a calling card will be left to allow them to make arrangements for the re-delivery of the order.

Christmas Hamper Deliveries
Our range of Christmas Hampers allows a deferred delivery date. The customer is responsible for inputting the preferred date of delivery into the appropriate box. The confirmation e-mail will confirm this preferred delivery date and the customer should ensure that it is correct. If no preferred delivery date is entered the hamper will be dispatched as described in the standard terms and conditions. Special Surprises cannot be held responsible for wrong deliveries based on incorrect information supplied by the customer.

Non Mainland UK/International Delivery
If you would like to order a gift to be delivered overseas please telephone or e-mail us for a quote. Parcels sent abroad will be sent via Courier or Royal Mail depending on cost and estimated delivery times. Please note that due to customs regulations in some countries we will not be able to include food or drink in packages to be sent abroad.

Payments
Special Surprises uses the industry standard 'PayPal' payment method, ensuring an excellent customer experience and fraud protection for our customers.
PayPal allows our customers to complete transactions in a very few steps. Special Surprises will never hold any payment information on our sites and this will all be managed via PayPal’s robust controls.
How PayPal works.
1. After selecting products to purchase, our customer clicks on 'Confirm the Order' on the Special Surprises website.
2. The customer is transferred to PayPal – where they select their payment method, as well as the correct postage and billing address
3. The customer is then returned to the Special Surprises website to complete their purchases.
4. PayPal automatically gives provides the postage address, email, and other customer information needed to fulfill the order.
With PayPal, our buyers finish their orders on the Special Surprises website, not PayPal’s, so we can ensure :
1. real-time notification of successful payments.
2. Automate the internal business processes, including initiating the delivery process.
3. Ensure buyers make it to our final confirmation page.
4. Be notified that the customer’s address is confirmed, which helps you qualify for coverage under PayPal’s Seller Protection Policy.

If you would prefer not to order via our website please call us on 07919 046352 where we will be happy to take your order. Cheques should be made payable to Special Surprises Ltd. Goods paid for by cheque will not be dispatched until the cheque has cleared.

Accuracy of Advertised Information (Pricing/Descriptions)
We try very hard to ensure that all the information on this site is accurate. However, just occasionally, an error can occur. If we discover an error in the price or description of a product you have ordered, we will tell you and ask you whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it. All prices are inclusive of any relevant taxes.
The images that appear on our website are for illustrative purposes only and minor variations may occur in the colours, texture, shade and/or general appearance from that shown.

Stock Availability
Special Surprises try to maintain stock levels at all times, but from time to time we may be unable to supply a particular item. In this situation we will replace the item with something similar to the equivalent or greater value. If you have left contact details you will be contacted first to ensure the replacement item meets your approval.

Damages
Special Surprises makes every effort to ensure that the goods will arrive safely and undamaged. In the unlikely event that damage has occurred in transit please contact us by e-mail or telephone and arrangements will be made to have the goods uplifted and replaced at the earliest possible opportunity.

Sale of Alcohol
It is illegal in the UK to sell alcohol to persons under the age of 18. It is also an offence for persons under the age of 18 to buy, or attempt to buy alcohol from Special Surprises. No person under the age of 18 may place an order with Special Surprises if the goods contain alcohol.

Limitation of liability
Special Surprises will make every reasonable effort to meet the requested delivery date. Special Surprises will not however be liable for any loss or damage due to delays or failure to ship resulting from any cause beyond its reasonable control, such as, but not limited to compliance with laws or regulations, acts of God, acts or omissions of the customer or recipient, acts of civil or military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or suppliers, labour disputes, failure or delays in transportation, embargoes, wars or riots. However, Special Surprises will always try to find alternative ways to fulfil the agreement with the customer wherever possible.
